Effective 30th September 2015 The Yacht Brokerage and Office of David Cook Yachts is closing. David is retiring!

Looking for new horizons. (Rounding the Mull, May this year)

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking all my clients, new and old who have had the courage to list their boat with me to sell and buy. Thanks also to the many members of the marine trade and former colleagues over the 42 years of my time in this fascinating and ever changing industry, and last but not least my wife Wendy who has supported me through sunny and stormy times (mainly sunny!).

The yachts and boats listed in the tabs above remain for sale and are now in the hands of other brokers. Current and ongoing enquiries will be continued to be handled by me however if you are interested in any of these craft please do not hesitate to contact me and I will pass your enquiry to the appropriate person.

Yachting has been and will continue to be my life. Here at the helm of Gitana IV on route from Grenada via Bermuda to Long Island Sound, April 1971. (yes I had hair then !). Sunny that day but soon developed into a Force 10 in the Gulf Stream. Purists may note that G IV is a yawl. Her mizzen was removed after damage in the 1970 charter season. I see Edmiston have her for sale !

I continue to be available for yacht and boat deliveries on the West Coast of Scotland in an area around the Clyde to Craobh, Caledonian Canal and south to Carrickfergus. Feel free to contact me.
